Samoëns is an all-year holiday location - there is so much to do whenever you are here!

The village of Samoëns is a beautiful village with medieval origins. There are  approximately 2500 permanent residents in the village but despite the fact that this number increases during the peak winter & summer periods it never feels crowded and never loses its small, friendly atmosphere. We are confident that you will return!

In the winter the village really comes to life with winter-sports such as skiing (downhill, cross-country), snow-shoe, paragliding & skating - the village now has a new tele-cabine to get to the higher ski area which takes just 8 minutes. There are free ski-buses from all around the town (and just a few metres from Chalet Anpie!) so this makes it really easy to  avoid using your car (you can leave it in the underground garage  at the Chalet). The town centre is traffic free during the winter season. Evenings are full of entertainment and the selection of restaurants should suit all tastes and pockets.

In the summer the list of things to do is wide and varied - there are lots of well-marked walking trails (easy and more adventurous), white-water rafting, mountain biking, golf, fishing, swimming and paragliding.

All through the year there is a market each Wednesday morning - the atmosphere is typically 'French' and it is a great place to buy really interesting local produce as well as soak up the local culture.

The menu-links on the left give more detail (and information) about the winter and summer activities (such as ski passes, ski-bus, ski lessons etc).

There is a lot of information in the apartment (brochures etc) - we are confident that you will not run out of things to do!
